First of all let me tell you, one of the best movies I ever saw on the silver-screen, It's impressive, I was expecting an ok movie but what I saw an essay on human condition. I don't know if everyone that goes and sees this one will get it's true meaning, hell I'm not even sure what it is, for me is a movie about what makes us human, being evil and being good.

So, the movie starts quietly and when it started it was a bit confusing, you have this guy and that one that looks exactly like him but in the future, and until you understand what is going on you will be a little confused, but it's ok because once you know that it doesn't really matter that this is the same actor that is in all the other stories you will get the hang of it.

The movie spans across several historical time, from the 1850 to the future, in 6 stories that even though are different are about the same thing.

The first story is about a attorney that sails to a plantation field where slavery is at it's high and a friendship between this attorney and slave that escaped and how each other save the other lives.
The second is about a young gay music composer that want's and goes to work with a decaying old composer that needs him more than the other way around, in this one the young composer has to overcome the now untalented and treacherous mentor as he tries to steal to himself one of the best compositions ever created by the young composer.
The third one shows a journalist investigating a report on a nuclear plant and how the men in power will do anything to silence her and at the same time not carrying what schemes they have to use to make a profit.
The fourth story, happens in our time and it's kind of a funny one, an old man in debt to some criminals decides to ask for help to his distant brother, but in stead of helping him he commits him in an nursing home, where old people are sent by their sons to spend their last days in a prison style home.
The fifth tells the story of a futuristic society where 2 types of people live, the true-bloods and the servants, and is about a servant that begins to question her slave condition, and starts a revolution for freedom.
In the sixth and final story, civilization as we knew from the previous one has disappear, and all that is left is a dying mankind that lives on a planet that is killing them, we see an island where cannibal hunt humans, a group of locals that try to escape from them until a futuristic women arrives in a semi-god appearance to them and asks for help to get to a place that is supposed to be forbidden.

This is a very brief resume but please go see it and be amazed at how fantastic this movie is, at how the events from each other affect the next one.
As for me I have to see it a few more time, this is one of those that will be different the second time, and so on, I know I will find new thing.
