Like I promised here goes my thoughts on the new Alan Ball project.
It was interesting, every thing that shows bees that give milk (A.K.A. Boobies) is the first two minutes of a episode is certainly compelling at least for the straight men and not so straight women, I suppose the main characters also looks good making that okay for everybody but I really don't care.
Now that I made my unfunny joke, I'll make a resume of what I saw,. No I wont, and apparently I'm not done with the jokes, do you remember that movie with Martin Lawrence, Blue Streak, well if you do you know what the show is all about, except it's less funny, I mean not funny, darker, and with interesting scenes (I'm referring again to the Milk Bees).
For those that don't know the movie that I'm talking about, here goes the story, a guy is arrested because of some diamonds, when he leaves jail he goes to the last place he had them in this banshee show the last place is actually a ex-girlfriend. He them assumes the role of the sheriff, he is a bad guy a bandit, but he has a good heart, and there is a badder guy then him so that makes it okay to cheer him.
I'm not telling you shouldn't check it out, some of the backstory might give interesting plot, I only saw one episode and that is nothing so it might improve, I'll probably check out a couple more but I just didn't make me want to watch the other right away, so that is not a good signal. I expected more maybe that was the problem but if the episode instead of being close ended are open ended ( I wrote about this before, the difference between procedural and character driven) it might have a chance, but only the next episodes will tell.
